Questions
Can Wrenly see what I type?
Wrenly only looks at the last few characters you typed to spot your abbreviations. It never saves, logs or sends your typing anywhere. It doesn't run in password fields either. Your snippets stay on your computer.
Why does my Mac ask for Accessibility permission?
macOS requires it for any app that types for you. It's the same permission every text expander needs. You grant it once in System Settings, and Wrenly walks you through it.
What happens when the free trial ends?
Your snippets stay safe, but they stop expanding until you buy a license. Enter your key and everything works again instantly.
Can I use one license on more than one Mac?
Yes. One license works on up to of your own Macs, like a desktop and a laptop.
I use TextExpander. Can I bring my snippets?
Yes. In TextExpander, right-click a group and choose Export Group → as CSV. In Wrenly, go to Settings → Import from TextExpander and pick that file.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Wrenly only goes online to activate your license key.
